About Polished Tiles from L-Group International

Polished tiles achieve their distinctive mirror-like finish through a mechanical polishing process known as PGVT (Polished Glazed Vitrified Tiles). After the tile is fired at 1200°C+, the glazed surface is ground and polished using progressively finer diamond abrasives until it reaches a glass-like reflectivity. This process creates a surface with maximum shine that reflects light with crystal clarity, making spaces appear dramatically larger and more luxurious.

At L-Group International LLP, we manufacture polished tiles under our six brands — L-Tile, Livanto, Lemorex, Linia, Lizzart and Lovel. Our polishing lines in Morbi, Gujarat use 16-head calibrating and polishing machines imported from Italy, achieving consistent mirror finishes with gloss readings exceeding 90 GU (Gloss Units). Available in both standard 9mm thickness and heavy-duty 15mm for commercial applications.

Polished tiles are the preferred specification for luxury projects worldwide — from five-star hotel lobbies and corporate reception areas to premium residential living rooms and master bedrooms. ISO 9001 and CE certified with consistent quality assured across every production batch. Exported to 60+ countries with competitive B2B pricing.

Maximum Shine & Reflectivity

Our polished tiles achieve gloss readings exceeding 90 GU (Gloss Units) — the highest level of shine available in floor tiles. This creates a mirror-like surface that reflects light and surroundings with stunning clarity.

Enhanced Design Clarity

The polishing process dramatically enhances the visibility of underlying patterns. Marble veining, onyx patterns and stone textures appear more realistic and three-dimensional under the polished surface.

Premium Luxury Appearance

Polished tiles instantly communicate luxury, quality and sophistication. They are the tile of choice for spaces designed to impress — hotel lobbies, showrooms, corporate offices and luxury residences.

Durable Porcelain Base

Built on a vitrified porcelain body with water absorption below 0.5%, breaking strength above 1300N and Mohs hardness 6-7. The polished surface maintains its shine for decades with proper care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between polished and glossy tiles?
Polished tiles (PGVT) achieve their shine through mechanical polishing — diamond abrasives physically grind and polish the glazed surface after firing. Glossy tiles get their shine from a glaze coating applied before firing. Polished tiles achieve deeper, more mirror-like reflectivity (90+ GU), while glossy tiles offer better scratch resistance. Both are excellent for luxury interiors.
Are polished tiles suitable for floor use?
Yes, polished tiles are designed primarily for floor use in dry areas. They perform excellently in living rooms, bedrooms, hotel lobbies and commercial spaces. However, they can be slippery when wet — for bathrooms and kitchens, we recommend our matt finish or adding anti-slip treatments. In wet zones, use area rugs or mats for safety.
How do I maintain the shine of polished tiles?
Regular maintenance with a pH-neutral cleaner preserves the mirror finish for decades. Avoid acidic cleaners, abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. Daily dust-mopping removes grit that can micro-scratch the surface. Every 12-18 months, apply a nano-sealant to refresh the protective layer and maintain maximum gloss levels.
What designs are available in polished finish?
L-Group offers polished tiles in marble-look (Statuario, Calacatta, Carrara), onyx patterns, travertine, granite-look, bookmatched designs and solid colours. Our Italian digital printing technology creates highly realistic stone patterns that are enhanced by the polishing process for unmatched depth and realism.
What sizes are polished tiles available in?
Our polished PGVT tiles are available primarily in 600x1200mm (the most popular format), 800x1600mm for larger spaces, and 1200x1800mm slab format for maximum visual impact. Thickness options include standard 9mm and heavy-duty 15mm for high-traffic commercial applications.
What is the minimum order quantity for polished tiles?
The standard MOQ is 1 container (20-foot FCL). A standard container holds approximately 1,440 sqm of 600x1200mm polished tiles. LCL shipments are available for sample orders and trial quantities. We provide complete export documentation, quality certificates and pallet packing for international shipments to 60+ countries.
